The BACLS Executive Committee is delighted to announce the winners of the British Association of Contemporary Literary Studies Edited Collection Prize, for works published in 2024:
 
Joint Winners

The Many Worlds of Anglophone Literature: Transcultural Engagements, Global Frictions, edited by Silvia Anastasijevic, Magdalena Pfalzgraf and Hanna Teichler (Bloomsbury).

Described by the judging panel as, ‘a remarkably rigorous book, whose breadth of material […] is nowhere compromised in depth’, and which ‘is sure to becomes a key point of reference in contemporary literary studies.’

The Mediated Arctic: Poetics and Politics of Contemporary Circumpolar Geographies, ed. Johannes Riquet (Manchester UP).

Described by the judging panel as, ‘highly original and genuinely interdisciplinary work’, which ‘balances depth and breadth of enquiry meticulously while also constituting an accessible starting point for scholars of the contemporary arctic and its mediation in textual and visual culture.’
