Nominations are now open for 6 positions on the BACLS Executive Committee

*Deadline Extended to 19th July*

  • Chair
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Conference organiser
  • Ordinary Member (2 positions)*

BACLS is committed to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion and we particularly encourage nominations from people who identify with groups that are currently underrepresented in literary studies.

To be eligible to stand for these posts you must be a current member of BACLS (please note: we are experiencing issues with renewing/purchasing memberships - bear with us while we address these. In the meantime, please get in touch with our Membership Secretary, Julia Ditter [julia-ditter@outlook.com], to register your interest in joining BACLS or in renewing your lapsed membership to stand in the elections).

If you would like to nominate yourself for one of these positions, please complete the short online form, including a 300-word statement detailing your background and suitability for the role. The deadline for nominations is Wednesday 19th July, after which statements will be posted on the BACLS website and voting will open for BACLS members.

Link to online form here.

Please feel free to contact current post holders if you would like to get a better sense of what these roles involve.

*Ordinary members are an active part of the BACLS Executive Committee who have the opportunity to be involved in many different kinds of organisation activities throughout the year. Ordinary members are often involved in the BACLS book prize, as well as hosting events, and will typically also attend the annual board meeting.
